For Media Powerhouse, switching IT support to Staines-based Microsoft Service Provider Ziptech Services allowed the growing audio visual company to establish a reliable, secure and compliant infrastructure which would serve the business through a period of expansion.

Needing to improve access to and from the company’s busy warehouse while also accommodating more equipment and staff, Media Powerhouse moved to a new location under the technical supervision of Ziptech’s IT engineers who carried out the technical element of the smooth-running move.
In order to support opportunities to tender for larger contracts, it soon became obvious that improved security and a robust attitude to compliance would demonstrate the audio visual supplier’s commitment to providing a First-class level of service, helping to win new business.
On Ziptech’s recommendation, Media Powerhouse embarked on the Government’s recommended process for optimum cyber protection – the Cyber Essentials Accreditation programme. Cyber Essentials is now a ‘must have’ for suppliers of local and central Government contracts as well as an endorsement of the company’s awareness of and attention to the prevention of the most common cyber breaches and attacks.
Rashid says,
“Having Ziptech lead us through the Cyber Essentials Accreditation programme was a positive thing to do; it ticks lots of boxes on many of the lengthy tender documents we receive and it gives our management team an increased confidence in our level of security.”
GDPR compliance is the most recent challenge the business has faced. Rashid admits,
“The compliance process was always going to be painful yet, even though a large element of GDPR requires legal advice, Ziptech was knowledgeable enough to not only drive our IT compliance but to also advise where and when we ought to seek further professional help.”
