Aziz has been a Ziptech client for the past seven years.
The past five years have been challenging times for all businesses and Aziz is no exception. Overheads have been cut and costs tightly managed to ensure best value is achieved for the business. IT has been an area of contention – and it had been particularly difficult to balance costs with the maintenance of an IT infrastructure that meets the needs of the company and its employees.
The IT support contract with Ziptech has ensured that day to day IT operations run smoothly but Aziz also found the additional advice and support they have received has been invaluable in making some of the bigger, more strategic decisions about the business.
“We knew that we hadn’t really invested in our IT infrastructure for a while. Ziptech advised us about server purchase – but more than that – they helped us understand the implications of decisions we were making. We are confident now that we have the best solution in place as a result – one that will scale with us as we move from recession and ramp the business back up,” says Selina

Technology issues are always explained in ways we understand which is really important and they are there for advice when we need it most.”
Aziz has also used the business advice for other areas not directly related to the support contract. For example Ziptech has also provided impartial advice regarding the purchase of new laptops and PCs, recommending hardware and suppliers that would provide best value for money and serviceability for the company.
“Ziptech is definitely seen as more of a partner than a supplier to Aziz,” says Selina. “When we have asked for advice, support or flexibility it has been provided. We have come to appreciate that IT support is not a commodity that should be traded on price comparisons alone. I cannot underestimate the value added benefit that Ziptech have brought us”.
Web Marketing Advice
Aziz has recently been using Ziptech to carry out some work on their website, following attendance at one of the Ziptech Web Marketing seminars.Selina attended the seminar and was pleased to find that Ziptech was also able to help provide a joined up approach to marketing via the web.
“I came away from the seminar thinking ‘thank goodness’ – here’s someone we can trust in this minefield of web marketing. We had been bitten badly before by an unscrupulous organisation who promised us a lot but delivered little, so we had a lot of scepticism around employing anyone again to help us in this area. If anyone other than Ziptech had recommended this web work – which starts with keyword analysis – we would have been very hesitant.”
For Aziz the relationship piece is the most important factor when working with Jim and the team.
“We feel comfortable with Ziptech – of course there are always occasional niggles with any supplier/client contracts but they are minor and resolved quickly”.
