Ziptech Achieves Microsoft Solutions Partner Designation for Infrastructure (Azure)

Microsoft has launched a new Solutions Partner designation programme. It acknowledges companies who continually demonstrate high levels of technical capability and customer success in delivering Microsoft solutions. We’re proud to announce that Ziptech is one of a few MSPs in London and the Home Counties that have achieved Microsoft Solution Partner Infrastructure (Azure).

“The Solutions Partner designation demonstrates your organization’s technical capabilities, experience, and ability to deliver successful customer outcomes aligned to the Microsoft Cloud”

Nicole Dezen – Chief Partner Officer and Corporate Vice President, Global Partner Solutions at Microsoft

How does the new Solutions Partner designation work?

The programme aims to replace the previous Silver and Gold competency framework associated with the Microsoft Partner Network and reflects a new focus on cloud computing. There are six areas in which Microsoft Solutions Partners can achieve the prestigious status:

To be eligible to apply, IT service providers like Ziptech need to be assessed for their “partner capability score”. This is a composite score that quantifies performance across three categories which are Performance, Skilling and Customer success.

Over the years, we have developed a host of resources that help business leaders understand how Microsoft Azure can help them increase productivity and connectivity, and control cloud computing costs. You can find out more from our complementary ebook. Download it here. We have also developed specific expertise in migrating businesses to the cloud as well as migrating from the Citrix Cloud to Microsoft Azure.

How do Solution Partner designations differ from the old Microsoft competencies framework?

Until now, businesses focused on implementing and managing Microsoft technologies (Microsoft Solution Providers or MSPs) could apply for Microsoft’s Gold or Silver competency badges associated with the Microsoft Partner Network. These indicate the MSP’s relative experience using, implementing and managing Microsoft tools. However, the framework leans toward on-premises technology. The new Solutions Partner designation is designed to reflect the digital era and embraces cloud computing. These new designations are also significantly harder to achieve with stringent assessment criteria.
